Cara Evans, MScOT, OT Reg. (Ont.)


Cara Evans is a registered occupational therapist. She obtained her Master’s degree in occupational therapy at the University of Toronto, where she completed fieldwork at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Sherbourne Health Centre. Cara then undertook post-graduate training in cognitive-behavioural therapy with the Clinical Behavioural Sciences program at McMaster University.

Cara has experience working with individuals who experience emotion dysregulation and difficulties with mood and anxiety, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. She worked at the Youth Wellness Centre at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, where she provided counselling, care coordination, and occupational therapy to young adults with a range of mental health concerns. She has also facilitated mental health groups at the Hamilton Family Health Team.

In addition to her clinical work, Cara is currently working towards her PhD in health policy at McMaster University, studying policies that address complex mental health needs.
