Our team is always looking for talented clinicians. We are seeking clinical associates who can work 10-15 hrs at a minimum to provide individual and group Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and PTSD treatment. Our team looks for people who is passionate and committed to providing high-quality, evidenced-based treatment delivered with compassion and skill. Qualifications

  • Eligible for Registration as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, including Supervised Practice applicants

  • PhD in Clinical or Counselling Psychology

  • MSW, RP, or RP(Qualifying)

  • Formal training (e.g. Intensively trained by Behavioural Tech, Treatment Implementation Collaborative, certification through CAMH/the Oshawa Institute or similar) OR extensive experience in providing adherent, comprehensive DBT (i.e., consult team membership, individual therapy, coaching, and skills group facilitation)

  • Experience with parents and families is a plus

  • Although formal DBT training is an asset, candidates with strong background in CBT, mindfulness-based treatments and behavioural interventions may be considered

The successful candidate would join a team of experienced DBT therapists with advanced training in DBT, have access to DBT resources and on-going learning opportunities, and would participate in weekly consultation team meetings.

DBT Hamilton is centrally located in downtown Hamilton in a newly renovated building close to the GO station and other public transportation. We also offer virtual sessions as well. We are one of the only private practices in the area that provides Standard DBT. As a result, we receive a consistent flow of referrals.
