Alyssa DeAngelis, MSW, RSW

Alyssa (she/they) is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She facilitates skills groups with DBT Hamilton.

 Alyssa completed their undergraduate studies in psychology and SMF (sexuality marriage and family studies) at the University of Waterloo, then went on to complete their Masters in Social Work at York University. 

Alyssa started working for St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton Mental Health and Addiction Program in 2017. Since then Alyssa has acquired training in various therapy modalities, including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. Their focus has been on treatment for clients with emotional dysregulation, substance use, as well as PTSD.
